Navastream and Biodata Inc. announce plan to Merge.

San Francisco, CA, Frankfurt, Germany, September 17, 2004 - Navastream Inc., the global leader in Managed Security Services (MSS) for real time in-demand applications like video conferencing, voice, email, wireless, critical data and remote access solutions today announced the merger of Navastream Inc. and Biodata Inc. According to Navastream's founder and CEO Altura S. Ewers, combining the two companies makes sense given the common history, security expertise and diverse product offering. While Biodata Inc. controlled the market for Switched Video Conferencing Security, Navastream's VIP encryptor has become the defacto standard for VOIP Security (Voice and Video Over IP) with encryptions speeds enabling optimum quality on secured IP traffic. Ewers further added that "the merger will enable Navastream Inc. to maintain our lead in the fast growing arena of Global Managed Security Services. First by gaining access to Biodata's extensive blue chip customer list and Product Offering will enable the combined company to deliver cutting edge security products and services. Second the Security Expertise has dwindled with security going mainstream which has left many gaping holes in most corporate security policies. The merging of know how will benefit existing customers. Third, a combined company will eliminate overlap as we focus on delivering next generation security solutions to customers." Navastream plans to release several new products in the upcoming week to revolutionize executive and corporate level communications and Intellectual Property Protection. Ewers, previously head of Sales and Marketing for Biodata Inc.'s parent, Germany's Biodata AG, was the German company's second largest shareholder said he is euphoric to usher in a new era in the Network Security space. The merger also put to rest a multiyear, multi-pronged federal lawsuit filed by Ewers against his former company, Biodata AG. Terms of the court mediated settlement weren't disclosed but Ewers commented, Justice has been served and he, the combined company and customers can move forward and concentrate on delivering advanced security services. Navastream plans to unveil a new security program internally code-named "Blackbird" aimed exclusively at executives. Ewers further added "Blackbird" will radically change the way the very people at the center of our economic lifeblood communicate. The combined company will be called Navastream Inc. with offices in San Francisco, New York and plans for a European headquaters in Frankfurt by Q2 2005.
